“Not my will, Lord, but yours.”
“Not my will, Lord, but yours.”
I have always considered myself to be a believer – that is to say that I have always believed in God. I have always believed that Jesus, the Son of God, lived among us, in human form, and died as the ultimate sacrifice. I have always believed He rose again, freeing us from death, and I have always believed in the Holy Spirit – although I will be the first to admit that the Holy Spirit is perhaps the most difficult part of the Holy Trinity to truly understand.
While I’ve always been a believer, I’ve not always known what to do with that belief. I believe, but what does being a believer look like?
At the age of 63, I’ve seen more than a few ups and down – in the world, and in my own faith journey. The idea behind this blog is to share some of what I’ve experienced – the good, the bad and everything in between – and how my life has always been its best when I’ve stepped aside and let God lead.
I pray you find these words inspirational, comforting, enlightening and perhaps even a bit challenging. More than that, however, I pray that you will find peace and comfort in the arms of our loving God.
